The second leg of the MagicCon tour, this stop in Chicago, has started in a big way. As player from around the world strap in for tournament play and queue up for merch, the fine folks at Wizards of the Coast are treating attendees to a sneak peek at the next set (before Final Fantasy, chill).
Here is everything we know so far about Tarkir Dragonstorm!
Sarkhan is Back, and He's Pissed
Dragon lover's favorite Planeswalker has returned, now with extra beef! Sarkhan, Dragon Ascendent has an ability called "behold a Dragon" which allows you to reveal a dragon from your hand or choose one you control to create a treasure token.

He then goes on to do some Animorph stuff and turns into a dragon himself while gaining flying. Oh yeah, and he gets a +1/+1 counter every time a dragon enters. Neat.
We also get a look at what they are calling "Ghostfire" art treatments inspired by Ugin. These are super slick and provide a great contrast making the cards really pop.
We're Getting the Clans Back Together
Abzan, Jeskai, Sultai, Mardu, and Temur rise from the Ashes and ready themselves for another fight. In Tarkir Dargonstorm some of the clans have new leadership and som fancy new flagship dragons.

Each clan will get its own pre-con deck as well as a prerelease set led by their new shiny dragon friend like Teval, the Balanced Scale. Teval mills you 3, lets you play a land from your graveyard and creates Zombies when you move cards out of your graveyard. There is a lot to like here and if this is the baseline for the commander decks we are excited to see the power of the remaining 4.
Making Mox Cool Again
After unbanning Mox Opal in December, Wizards doubles down revealing a brand new Mox crafted specifically for the dragon wielders.
Mox Jasper is a 0-cost mana rock that lets you add one mana of any color to your pool but with a catch. You must control a dragon. Not hard for decks that are built around them (or maybe Changeling decks?).
A Solid Spread of Fun Stuff
Rounding out the announcements were a few highlight cards like the non-counterable instant, Inevitable Defeat, that fries a permanent, pings your opponent for 3, and gives you 3 life for 1RWB.
We also got a look at another new dragon in Shiko, Paragon of the Way that provides some exile and copy play. Shiko pairs nicely with the newly introduced Narset, Jeskai Waymaster who allows you to discard and redraw your hand at the beginning of each end step.
The newly revealed cards can be seen in the gallery above!
